The N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University is one of the leading scientific centers of the country in a sphere of the semiconductor and semiconductor device physics, the electromagnetic wave radiophysics, including the extremely-high frequency range (the EHF EMR), the investigations of their interaction with biological objects, the use in biology, medicine and other directions of science and engineering.

One of the notable achievements of the NNSU for the last years was creation of EHF EMR semiconductor sources with a noise spectrum in the frequency range of 26-170 HHz by a team of scientists under the leadership of A.V. Kornaukhov, head of the SHF semiconductor electronics laboratory of the NNSU scientific research institute, which do not have analogues in the world. The indicated sources are characterized by a spectral density of a "white noise" power 103 - 105 times higher than that achieved at the semiconductor and gas-discharging devices in the above mentioned frequency range, supplementary to possibility of the broad-band noise signal generation at the higher frequencies compared to analogues.

The indicated advantages, low clearances and the device mass as well as a sufficiently low voltage and a feed current have provided a perspectivity of the given elaboration use in a different radioelectronic equipment as well as for medicobiological investigations. The EHF - therapy apparatus "AMPHIT-0,2/10-01" was specially elaborated for the medicobiological investigations, a use in medicine and biology. The apparatus generates the low-intensive EHF EMR with a noise spectrum in frequency rage of 53-78 HHz. A typical integral (a total according to the frequency range) power of the EMR is established in a range of approximately 1-1,5 mcW and can be increased up to 10 mcW at conduction of the special investigations. The typical meanings of a noise power spectral density (NPSD) are of about 40 dB relatively to T0. A heterogeneity of the NSPD in the frequency range doesn't exceed 3 dB. The "AMPHIT-0,2/10-01" is used for a noninvasive local effect of the EMR with a noise spectrum not only on the traditional for the noise devices reflex fields, the reflexogenic zones, the corporal or auricular biologically active points of a cutaneouse surface (a reflexotherapeutic regimen with a special accessory packing to the apparatus), its power is also sufficient for receipt of a stable therapeutic effect at a direct influence on the regions of inflammation, degenerative and other foci of affection (a physiotherapeutic regimen with an accessory horn packing to the apparatus). Besides, the power characteristics of the given apparatus provide a possibility of its use for an influence study in the standard conditions of the EMR with a noise spectrum or a state of different biological fluids, fragments of the organs and tissues and etc., i.e. a receipt of results at an effect of the EMR on the objects, characterized by an area of irradiation, a corresponding one, typical for the biomedical experiments.

A serial production of the basic apparatus "AMPHIT-0,2/10-01" is relalized from 1998 in the NNSU, a scientific and production enterprise "PhysTech" (Director S.I. Anisimov). The apparatus is designated for medical treatment-and-prophylactic institutions, hospitals, ambulatory and polyclinic medicosanitary departments, health centers, preventariums, in conditions of emergency stations and units, in a sports medicine and consulting rooms of psychologic relaxation as well as for individual use at the specialist consultations.

The scientists of the NNSU together with the scientists and physicians fro several scientific research institutes and centers, large clinics (The Military Medical Institute of the Russian Federation Border Guard Service, the Nizhny Novgorod Medical Academy, the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the academician I.N. Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Research Dermatovenerologic Institute, the Interregional Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Russian State Medical University, the N.A. Semashko Nizhny Novgorod regional hospital, the Nizhny Novgorod infantile regional hospital etc.) have managed to create a whole scientific and practical direction for solution of tasks on the EHF EMR use in medicine and biology as well as in the allied spheres.

At present, the scientists and physicians have gained a large statistical material on effectiveness of the EHF low-intensive EMR use with a noise spectrum, permitting to use this method practically in all the spheres of medicine: epidemiology, pulmonology, surgery, orthopedo-traumatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, cosmetology, stomatology, sports medicine and medicine of disasters.

A five-year experience of use and the gained large statistical material permit to make a conclusion that a low-intensive broad-bend EMR of the EHF with a "white noise" type spectrum permits:

  • to reduce the dates of a hospital treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases;
  • to extend the possibilities of ambulatory treatment and a treatment at home, which is very valuable for realization of a medical aid in a "family physician system";
  • to successfully realize a high prophylactic potential of the method;
  • to increase an effectiveness of the medicament use and at the same time to decrease a dosage of the prescoibed drugs, the analgetic means and even sometimes to refuse from their use;
  • to reduce the dates of a rehabilitations period.

The elaborated by the Nizhny Novgorod scientists equipment for generation of the low-intensive electromagnetic radiation with a noise spectrum - the devices of the "AMPHIT" series permits:

  • to provide a high mobility of use, a possibility of use in the field conditions, in a rural locality, in the preschool infantile institutions and school, in the military units and the institutions of a penitentiary system, in a spots medicine, a medicine of emergencies and disasters as well as on a board of the ships and other mobile means of movement;
  • to rapidly organize a training and retrainig of a medical staff;
  • to increase a working capacity of an adult population and decrease the expenses on the medical preparations;
  • to decrease a morbidity and strengthen a health of the children and adolescents with the minimum expenditures on the prophylactic measure conductions; to preserve a labour and social activity of the citizens at the age of 60-70 years, to improve the conditions of life of the elderly people.

The scientific and practical results of the "AMPHIT" apparatus use are published in a book "EHF - therapy by a low-intensive noise radiation", in the works of many international and Russian conferences, symposiums, meetings, in the scientific and practical journals of a medicobiological direction ("MM-waves in biology and medicine", "Military - medical journal", "Nizhny Novgorod medical journal", "Bulletin of experimental biology and medicine" and etc.), in the methodics recommendations and instructions, the textbooks for physicians. The results of works became a basis of many masters and doctors thesises. The students of the Nizhny Novgorod state university, the Nizhny Novgorod state medical academy, the Nizhny Novgorod agricultural academy and the Military - medical Institute of the Russian Federation Border Guard Service actively participate in the scientific and practical investigations.
